On the heels of a successful run as the site of the 2003 US OPEN Golf Tournament, the members at Olympia Fields Golf Course decided to renovate their pool and tennis facility. PHN Architects of Wheaton, IL were selected as the architect for the project.
At such a prestigious golf course, even the locker rooms require creative and innovative thinking—as Olympia Fields is also well known for having the largest men’s locker room in the United States. PHN wanted a classic Wood Mahogany look for the Lockers so The Spargo Group recommended Solid Phenolic material from Spec Rite Designs which provides the look and beauty of wood and adds increased durability and moisture resistance.
Riis Borg Construction built the facility and installed the Solid Phenolic Lockers and Carney and Company supplied matching Solid Phenolic Toilet Partitions and Shower Stalls from Bobrick Washroom Equipment. The result is a classic look befitting the historic club with the modern amenities its esteemed membership requires.
